Gigora works because students trust each other. These rules form part of our Terms of Use. Break them and you get a strike; three strikes suspend your account automatically.

Academic integrity — the hard line
There is a real difference between teaching someone and doing their graded work in their name. The first is welcome. The second gets you removed, and can get you into serious trouble with your college.

Our systems automatically block gigs containing banned phrases, and every gig is reviewed by a human before it goes live.
Never allowed on Gigora
Anything illegal under Indian law
Alcohol, tobacco, drugs, weapons, or gambling
Adult, sexual, or escort services of any kind
Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, hate speech, or discrimination on any ground
Sharing anyone's personal information without their consent (doxxing)
Fake profiles, impersonation, or accounts made to get around a suspension
Spam, mass-messaging, or promoting outside businesses
Anything that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark
Working with someone safely
Agree in writing, in the chat. Scope, amount, deadline, and when payment happens. The chat is your record.
Meet in public campus spaces when meeting in person.
Never share OTPs, passwords, or bank credentials. Nobody from Gigora will ever ask for them.
Be wary of unusual requests — advance payments to strangers, links to unknown sites, or anyone pushing you to move off-platform immediately.
Remember Gigora does not handle money. We cannot reverse a payment or recover it for you. Decide who pays when, before you start.
Reviews
Review honestly, based on your actual experience. Do not trade reviews, post fake ones, or use a review to threaten someone into paying more. Reviews open only after a gig is marked completed.
Reporting
Every gig, profile, and chat has a report option. Reports go to our moderators. When three different students report the same person, that account is suspended automatically pending review. Deliberately false reports are themselves a violation.
What happens when you break a rule
Content removed — the gig or message comes down
Strike — you get a warning telling you how many you have left
Suspension — three strikes, or three separate reporters, and the account is suspended and its gigs come off the feed
Serious cases — fraud, harassment, anything illegal — skip straight to suspension, and may be referred to your college or the police.
Think a decision was wrong? Appeal through our Grievance Redressal process. A human will look at it.
