Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 August 2026

The short version. Gigora only connects students on the same campus. We never hold, process, or route your money — you and the other student agree on payment and settle it directly between yourselves. We are not a party to your deal, not your employer, and not a payment service. You must be 18 or older and use a verified college email.

1. Who we are

Gigora (“Gigora”, “we”, “us”) is owned and operated by Vayuun Technologies (OPC) Private Limited, a One Person Company incorporated in India (CIN: TODO_ADD_CIN), with its registered office at TODO_ADD_REGISTERED_ADDRESS.

These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, form a legally binding agreement between you and Vayuun Technologies. By creating an account or using Gigora you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use Gigora.

2. What Gigora is — and what it is not

Gigora is a campus-scoped listing and communication platform. Students post short paid tasks (“Gigs”), other students from the same college apply, and the two parties talk to each other inside the app.

Gigora is expressly not:

  • Not a payment system. No money, escrow, wallet, or commission passes through Gigora at any point. We are not a payment aggregator or payment gateway and do not require authorisation under the Reserve Bank of India's payment aggregator framework.
  • Aura is not money. Aura is a free in-app usage allowance that lets you post and apply for gigs. It has no monetary value. It cannot be bought, sold, transferred between students, exchanged, or redeemed for money, goods, or services, and it is never used to pay another student for their work. We may adjust or withdraw aura at any time, and any aura you hold is extinguished when your account is closed.
  • Not an employer or staffing agency. No employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship is created between you and us, or between you and another user, by using Gigora.
  • Not a party to your agreement. Any arrangement about scope, price, deadline, delivery, or payment is strictly between the two students involved.
  • Not affiliated with any college. Verifying a college email address does not mean a college has partnered with, endorsed, or approved Gigora.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old. Gigora is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register.
  • You must be a current student with a valid email address on a college domain we have whitelisted, and you must verify it with the one-time password we send.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it current. One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone or use another student's email.

4. Campus scoping

You can only see and interact with Gigs and profiles from your own college. We enforce this in our systems, but we cannot guarantee that every person on a campus domain is who they claim to be. Use ordinary caution when meeting or working with someone new.

5. Payments are between you and the other student — and only you

Because we never touch your money, we cannot reverse a payment, hold funds, guarantee that work will be delivered, or refund you if the other person does not pay or does not perform. Any payment risk is yours. We strongly recommend agreeing on scope, amount, deadline, and payment timing in the in-app chat before you begin, so there is a written record.

You are solely responsible for any tax (including income tax and GST, where applicable) arising from money you receive through gigs arranged on Gigora. We do not deduct tax at source, do not issue invoices on your behalf, and do not report your earnings.

6. Content rules and academic integrity

Gigora exists for genuine freelance work — design, editing, photography, coding, tutoring, event help and similar. It must not be used for academic dishonesty. The following are strictly prohibited and are blocked or removed:

  • Writing or completing assignments, homework, lab records, theses, or dissertations for someone else
  • Taking, sitting, or assisting in an examination or online test in another person's place
  • Proxy attendance or marking attendance for another student
  • Any other conduct that breaches your institution's academic-integrity rules

Tutoring, explaining concepts, and teaching skills are allowed. Doing graded work in someone else's name is not. Full details are in our Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.

7. Review, moderation, strikes, and suspension

  • Every Gig is reviewed by our team before it appears on the campus feed. We may approve, reject, or later remove any Gig at our discretion.
  • Violations result in strikes. Accumulating three strikes, or being reported by three different students, results in automatic suspension of your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate an account immediately where we reasonably believe there is fraud, harassment, illegality, or risk to other users.
  • If you believe a decision was wrong, write to our Grievance Officer using the process on our Grievance Redressal page. We will review it.

8. Your content and the licence you give us

You keep ownership of everything you post — Gig descriptions, pitches, messages, profile details, reviews. You grant Vayuun Technologies a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content strictly for the purpose of operating, securing, and improving Gigora. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must retain it by law (see our Privacy Policy).

You confirm that you have the rights to everything you post and that it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

9. Intermediary status

Gigora is an “intermediary” under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We do not initiate transmissions, select receivers, or modify the information in your posts and messages. We observe the due-diligence obligations under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and claim the safe harbour available under Section 79 of the IT Act. We will disable access to unlawful content within the timelines the law requires once we receive a valid court order or government notification.

10. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Post anything unlawful, obscene, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or invasive of privacy
  • Post gigs involving alcohol, tobacco, drugs, weapons, gambling, adult services, or anything else illegal for students to arrange
  • Solicit money as an investment, loan, deposit, or any financial product
  • Spam, scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or attempt to breach the security of the platform
  • Collect other students' personal data, or share their phone numbers or details outside the app without their consent
  • Circumvent a suspension by creating a new account

11. Third-party services

The app offers an optional button to continue a conversation on WhatsApp. If you use it, that conversation happens on WhatsApp and is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy, not ours. Your phone number is never shown to another user unless you choose to share it.

12. Disclaimers

Gigora is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any user is trustworthy, skilled, or will honour their commitments.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vayuun Technologies and its officers and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of your use of Gigora or any dealing with another user — including any non-payment, non-performance, poor-quality work, dispute, injury, or loss connected with a gig.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to ₹1,000 (one thousand rupees). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vayuun Technologies (OPC) Private Limited against any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your dealings with another user.

15. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app, or by writing to admin@vayuuntechnologies.in. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (content licence for retained data, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and — as required by Indian law — we will remind you of these Terms and our Privacy Policy at least once every year. Continuing to use Gigora after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the grievance process below, the courts at TODO_ADD_CITY, India, will have exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting any legal proceeding, please raise the issue with our Grievance Officer so we have an opportunity to resolve it.
